A two-storey, self-contained holiday annexe for a maximum of three people, it is ideal for a couple but could accommodate three friends or a small family, who don’t mind sharing an ensuite shower room.
The former village shop, closed in the 1980s, has been newly refurbished as a holiday let.
Children are welcome but it is best suited for non-mobile infants or older children rather than toddlers due to the open plan nature of the accommodation and stairs which cannot have a stairgate fitted to them.
Guests have exclusive use of the Old Shop. It is attached to our cottage but has its own private entrance from the parking area. We are experienced hosts and are available next door if needed, whilst respecting your privacy.
Downstairs
There is an open plan lounge and kitchen with comfortable seating and a wall mounted 60-inch smart TV, ideal to relax in front of after a day out. The well-equipped kitchen has a small island with stools.
The lounge area has a small double sofa bed and two comfortable chairs which can also fold out as single beds to provide flexible sleeping arrangements.
Upstairs
Stairs lead to the ensuite bedroom in the eaves. The bedroom is spacious with lovely views over the surrounding countryside. As you enter the bedroom the newly fitted ensuite shower room is on your right. The bedroom has a king size bed, a large smart TV, a small table and fast Wi-Fi for those who need to catch up with work whilst away. A single futon that can be used as a bed for a child and there is plenty of space for a travel cot (not provided).
